Babylon | Airdrop Guide

Babylon is a Bitcoin staking protocol that will let BTC holders stake their coins on proof-of-stake blockchains and earn rewards.

Built using the Cosmos SDK, Babylon chain provides Bitcoin timestamping services to PoS chains and acts as a control plane to synchronize between the Bitcoin network and the PoS chains.

Lets begin with the steps to position ourselves for the confirmed $BBN airdrop!

Step by Step Guide

Download Keplr

– If you already own a Keplr wallet skip this step.
– Go to: http://keplr.app/download
– Set up the wallet.
– Make sure you copy the private key /  phase and safe it!

Add Babylon testnet

– Go to: http://chains.keplr.app
– Type “Babylon Testnet”
– Add the network.

Faucet $BBN tokens.

– Go to: http://discord.gg/babylonglobal
– Navigate to the “faucet-test-bbn” channel.
– Type “!faucet” and paste your $BBN wallet address.

OKX wallet

– If you already own the OKX wallet extension skip this step.
– Go to: Download Chrome Extension
– Download and setup the wallet.
– Make sure to safe the private keys.

Faucet $sBTC on OKX wallet

– Go to: http://signetfaucet.com
– Open the OKX wallet and search for the sBTC address (Signet Bitcoin).
– Copy the address and go back to the faucet.
– Enter your $sBTC address.
–  Click “Send”

Staking

– Go to: http://btcstaking.babylonchain.io
– Connect your Keplr and OKX wallets.
– Select a BTC finality provider.
– Set up staking terms.
– Click “Preview”

Zealy

– Go to: http://zealy.io/c/babylonchain
– Complete all easy quests.
